I have problem before, so i solve it with instal/update from iso. After installed i tried to switch gaming protocol but i dont see it.
Here is some ss:
Press alt+f1 or use some terminal app (open gearlock app and press ctrl+c, type su and enter),
Then type
rm /data/dminit.done
and enter
Then reboot by typing reboot and enter
Or if above way failed then go to fx file manager > system (root) / data/ and delete dminit.done, reboot.

I dont know if this will work or not but you can try

Rename data to something else(like data1) .
Make a new data folder or img(for ntfs installation)
Delete system folder or img(for ntfs installation)
Just reinstall darkmatter but dont format the drive during installation .
Dont forget to choose gaming protocols during initial boot
After installation and reboot and delete data and rename data1 to data.
You will get back the apps and your previous data but i dont know if some errors will occur or not(like app crashes)
So do it at your own risk and i am not responsible
